<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproofed type cable in which waterproofing performance is improved by providing a waterproofing layer and an outer covering made of water absorption material on the outside of a shell (inner covering) of a non-shield twist-pair cable. <P>SOLUTION: This is a cable in which insulating conductors 10, 10 made of, for example, four pairs are gathered and covered by an inner covering 20 in one lot. The outer covering 40 is provided on the inner covering 20 by interposing the waterproofing layer 30 made of a water absorption material. By this construction, even if the thickness of the inner covering is thin, sufficient strength is obtained. Even if a part of the outer covering is damaged, good waterproofing effect is obtained by the action of the waterproofing layer. Since the waterproofing layer functions as a seat sheath when the outer covering is exposed, it gives damage prevention effect to the inner covering. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
