摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly durable optical recording medium which can be recorded and reproduced by a short wavelength laser with a wavelength of 520-690 nm and is suited for high-density and rapid recording. <P>SOLUTION: This optical recording medium has at least a recording layer and a reflective layer formed on a substrate. In the recording layer, at least one kind of pyrromethene metallic chelate compound represented by formula (1) is added. Thus, by using the pyrromethene metallic chelate compound for a recording layer, a highly durable write write-once optical recording medium is obtained which can be recorded and reproduced by the laser with a wavelength of 520-690 nm and is suited for high density and rapid recording as a noteworthy high-density optical recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
