<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording body capable of simultaneously having both high printability and stamping properties. <P>SOLUTION: This thermal recording body is provided with a primer coating layer comprising a pigment and a binder as main components on a substrate, and a thermal recording layer comprising a colorless or light-colored basic colorless dye and a color developing agent developing a color by reacting with the basic colorless dye as main components. The primer coating layer and/or the thermal recording layer comprise a polyvinyl alcohol with a degree of polymerization of ≤1,000 and a saponification value of ≤90 mol%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
