<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording material with high sensitivity showing improved coating properties in a conventional blade coating process, even when an undercoating solution containing a hollow particle with high voids is used and in other words, a thermosensitive recording material showing high sensitivity, water-solubility and superior coating formation in a highly productive coating system. <P>SOLUTION: In the thermosensitive recording material comprising at least an undercoat layer containing a plastic spherical or elliptic spherical hollow particle and a thermosensitive recording layer composed mainly of a leuco dye and a developer which thermally develops a color in the leuco dye, laminated in that order, the hollow particle has an average particle diameter of 2 to 10 μm and the voids of 80 % or higher. The undercoat layer contains 5 wt% or higher of the polyvinyl alcohol with a degree of polymerization of not less than 1,000 to the hollow particle and is formed by a blade coating process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
