摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and speedily reduce a power loss caused by preheating during steady lighting of a lamp by enhancing temperature response of a resistive element with positive and negative temperature characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: This compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp is provided with an arc tube 5 formed by disposing a pair of electrodes in both end parts in the axial direction of a bent discharge passage; a cover 3 which is to be attached with the arc tube and is equipped with a base 2; a lighting circuit 6 stored in the cover in the vicinity of the electrode sealing end part of the arc tube, connected parallel to a lighting circuit board 6a whereon a chip component 6c among lighting circuit components is mounted on one surface while a lead part 6b is mounted on its back surface side and to at least one of the pair of electrodes, and equipped with a resistive element having negative temperature characteristic which is mounted on the lighting circuit board as the chip component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
