PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bearing capable of suppressing a problem wherein a rib part in an outer ring is worn or causes seizure due to sliding contact with another member. SOLUTION: In the roller bearing, a plurality of rollers 9 are circumferentially arranged in an inner circumference side of the outer ring 10, and the outer ring 10 is composed of a cylinder part 10a having a raceway surface for the rollers 9 in an inner circumferential face and the rib parts 10b and 10c extended toward inner diameter sides in each of both ends of the cylinder part 10a. A recessed part 15 for holding lubricant is provided in an axial outer side or an axial inner side side face in at least one of both rib parts 10b and 10c. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
