PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the noise caused by operation of a motor of an air compressor. SOLUTION: LEDs 88<SB>1</SB>-88<SB>8</SB>((1) to (8)), a motor 68, a power source ON-switch 90, a power source OFF-switch 92, a silence mode switch 93, and a pressure sensor 98 are connected to a control section 94 of the air compressor 10. The silence mode switch 93 is a switch which is operated, for example, when work is performed at nighttime or when only one nailing machine is used. The control section 94 performs ON/OFF control of the motor 68 according to the pressure value detected by the pressure sensor 98, and silence mode control which predetermines the number of revolutions of the motor 68 so as to decrease to the small number of revolutions, thereby reducing the noise of the motor when the silence mode switch 93 is switched to ON to change from the normal mode to the silence mode.
