PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR system in which a quick response can be given, and detailed controls can be exercised. SOLUTION: An EGR valve 47 is actuated by a stepping motor 49. Driving of the motor 49 is transmitted as it is to actuate the EGR valve 47, making a significant improvement in the response. Further, detailed controls of EGR valve 47 can be performed by issuing detailed control-commands from a controller 50 to the stepping motor 49. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
