PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head in which adhesive strength is made strong evenly, while a plane splice nature of a primary core and a secondary core is improved especially and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The plane splice nature of the primary core and the second core is improved since two-dimensional work of an abutting plane can be carried out with high precision, while a surface contact between parts of the primary core and the secondary core is carried out by forming an abutting plane 14 on the primary core 11 and the abutting the abutting plane 14 against a splicing surface of the second core. Since a groove 16 formed through a level difference from the abutting plane 14 has a constant depth, and the adhesive layer having a constant film thickness is formed between the groove 16 and the splicing surface of the second core, the adhesive layer has uniform adhesive strength, and it is possible to fix the primary core and the second core strongly.
