PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mastication frequency counter that easily provides the frequency of mastication until the end of a meal, and a health management system carrying out a health management based on mastication frequency data. SOLUTION: In the health management system for carrying out a medical examination by providing mealtime in a medical examination schedule, data obtained by measuring the physical information on subjects for health management by a medical examination and data acquired by measuring the frequency of mastication of the subjects for health management during the mealtime are stored, and advice information on health management is prepared on the basis of weights associated with the mastication frequency data. The system offers advice on dietary life by putting together the mastication frequency data and physical information including weights, and the like.
