<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for realizing the cleaning of the wire of an electrifier linked with the movement of a processing unit to an image forming apparatus main body while securing the positioning accuracy of a photoreceptor, and also for improving the operability. <P>SOLUTION: In the processing unit 16, a cleaning member 47 holding the wire 45 of the scorotron type electrifier 24 so as to be slidable is screwed and fit to a supporting shaft 57 arranged in the longitudinal direction (shaft direction of a photoreceptor drum 21) of the wire 45, and the shaft 57 is integrally provided with a gear 56 meshed with a rack part 62 formed in a main body casing 2 in a front-and-rear direction (direction nearly orthogonal to the shaft direction of the drum 21). Thus, when the unit 16 is attached to/detached from the casing 2, the gear 56 meshed with the rack part 62 is rotated and the member 47 is screwed to advance or screwed to retreat on the shaft 57 linked with the rotation of the gear 56, so that the wire 45 is cleaned. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
