INK JET RECORDING MEDIUM AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ink jet recording cast coated paper having proper ink jet recording characteristics and gloss feeling equal to a silver salt photograph with proper productivity.

SOLUTION: This ink jet recording medium includes a recording layer provided on one side surface of a support having gas permeability by a cast coating method. In this medium, the recording layer contains a γ-alumina, a cationic acrylic resin emulsion having a glass transition temperature of -25 to 45°C and polyvinyl alcohol.
