<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive controller which can cancel the noise of a motor without using a microphone for reference which may bring about howling or an expensive vibration pickup for reference and have superior reliability and economy, and to provide a heat pump type water heater using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The motor drive controller is constituted of an inverter 12, a microphone 52 for evaluation, an MCU 30, and an additional sound source 51. The inverter 12 generates driving power to a motor 13 by switching. The MCU 30 has a motor control part 40 for detecting rotation of the motor 13 by a current flowing to the motor 13 and controlling switching of the inverter 12 synchronously with the rotation, and an active silencing part 50 for generating a canceling sound signal having a phase opposite to that of the sounds of the motor 13 in accordance with the rotation detected by the motor control part 40 and sounds detected by the microphone 52 for evaluation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
