<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter manufacturing apparatus which can be made small-sized and manufacture a color filter on a roll-to-roll basis by using a long-sized base material. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter manufacturing apparatus is equipped with a rolled web loading unit which loads the long-sized base material, a pattern formation unit which forms an ink-hydrophilic pattern for ink for black matrix by changing ink hydrophilicity/hydrophobicity property by irradiating the base material surface with ultraviolet rays, an ink supply unit which supplies the ink for black matrix to the base material surface, a 1st curing unit which cures the ink, an ultraviolet-ray irradiation unit which irradiates the base material surface with ultraviolet rays to make a black matrix non-formation part hydrophilic to the ink, an ink jet unit which supplies ink for coloring layer to the base material surface, a 2nd curing unit which cures the ink for coloring layer, and a take-up unit which winds the long-sized base material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
