PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image processing apparatus in which a plurality of image memories are made corresponding to various kinds of uses by setting the image memories to arbitrary memory sizes. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is provided with storage circuits 507, 508 for setting an (h) address start point and a (v) address start point of each image memory and storage circuits 509, 510 for setting an (h) address end point and a (v) address end point. Counters 505, 506 are made increment as an (h) address and a (v) address. Counter values are compared by comparator circuits 511, 152 and a write enable signal within a predetermined address range is outputted. By imparting the addresses and the write enable signal to the image memory, the memory of the limited memory size is allocated to a large address space for storage. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
