PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmission camera for realizing a camera integrated image transmission apparatus wherein a board configuration adopts functionally divided structures as modular structures, which can easily be revised and used in different ways. SOLUTION: The network image transmission camera adopting a board configuration functionally divided into structures as modular structures such as a camera circuit section, a CODEC circuit section, and a basic circuit section, acquiring an image within an imaging visual field and transmitting the acquired image to a network, is provided with the camera circuit section for imaging an image within the imaging visual field and outputting the image as a video signal, the CODEC circuit section coupled to the camera circuit section and outputting the video signal as data compressed by a prescribed form; and the basic circuit section coupled to the CODEC circuit section and transmitting the compressed data to the network, wherein the camera circuit section, the CODEC circuit section, and the basic circuit section are mounted on different boards respectively.
