PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device and an image formation device capable of detecting not only a fixed form sized paper sheet but also a non-fixed form sized paper sheet by an automatic paper size detecting mechanism. SOLUTION: This device has an end fence 6 slidable in a paper feeding direction and restraining a rear end of the paper sheet accumulated at a paper storage part 1; and an automatic paper size detecting mechanism detecting a size of the accumulated paper by detecting a fixed position of the end fence 6. When the end fence 6 is fixed at a position other than a fixed form paper size, the automatic paper size detecting mechanism detects a paper sheet P accumulated at the paper storage part 1 as a non-fixed form paper size.
