PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image processing apparatus enabling execution of efficient inspection by enabling an operator to refer to the details in subsequent inspection even in the course of reading of a medical image. SOLUTION: This medical image processing apparatus is equipped with an image processing means 41a which applies image processing to the image data obtained by reading the medical image data acquired by photographing a patient for the diagnostic purpose by using a medical image reading device, a display means 32 which displays a diagnostic image for medical treatment on the basis of the image data subjected to the image processing by the image processing means, and a patient information processing means 41c which makes the display means display the information on the patient to be photographed next, together with the diagnostic image for medical treatment or in place of it, while the medical image reading device reads the medical image.
