PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film carrier excellent in operability. SOLUTION: A slider 206 is moved until a magnetized part 248 impinges a magnet 214 by pulling a handle 244 to a front. As a result, the slider 206 is attracted by the magnet 214 and a slide M is stored between housing members 220A and 220B. In this case, the slide M is positioned in a fixed position by inserting the slide M to run against. The slider 206 is moved in an opposite direction by pushing the handle 244 in this state until a magnetized part 248 impinges an end face 212A. As a result, a magnetized part 246a is attracted by a magnet 216 and a slider 206 (slide M) is positioned with high precision in a reading position. Accordingly, the operability is excellent due to applying the cofiguration which can position in the reading position only by pulling out the slider 206 to the front, storing the slide M and inserting the slider 206 in a back.
