PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor in which a passage resistance is provided in a waste oil passage, pressure in a backpressure chamber is higher than pressure in an oil reservoir, refrigerant is prevented from foaming, a seal part can be securely sealed with an oil film, without using a ring seal substance and which is advantageous in costs. SOLUTION: In the scroll compressor, in which a compressing part 2, a motor, a shaft 9 drilled for an oil passage 8 in the center, and a main frame 10 for supporting a main shaft 9a of the shaft 9 are provided in a closed container having the oil reservoir at the bottom. A backpressure chamber is formed between an anti-lap side and the main frame 10 of a revolving scroll 5, the waste oil passage 19 is provided in the main frame 10, and lubricant after lubricating a sliding part and the backpressure chamber is returned into the oil reversoir via the waste oil passage 19. The backpressure chamber is divided into an inside backpressure chamber 18a and an outside backpressure chamber 18b. The waste oil passage 19 is commnunicated with the inside backpressure chamber 18a and a motor chamber, and the passage resistance 20 having a means for holding the high pressure for the motor chamber is provided in the waste oil passage 19.
