<p>In an inverter for generating AC voltage for driving a load from a DC power source, the power supply to the load can be adjusted in a small step. For this, a semiconductor switch circuit of a bridge or half-bridge structure is provided on a primary winding of a transformer having a secondary winding connected to the load and each switch of the semiconductor switch circuit is PWM-controlled. A logic is devised for switching a plurality of semiconductor switches according to a PWM signal, thereby performing control such as zero-current switching and through current prevention. Moreover, by performing pulse width modulation control and burst control capable of adjusting the ratio of an on-duty period against an off-duty period, it is possible to adjust the power supply to the load in a wide range, exceeding the limit of the pulse width modulation control.</p> |
