<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practically reliable tape-like optical recording medium that employs a tape-shaped polymer substrate having a thickness of 20 μm or less for a large storage capacity, which effectively suppresses deformation in the substrate. <P>SOLUTION: An optical recording medium comprises: the polymer substrate; a recording layer formed on one surface of the polymer substrate; and a backcoated layer formed on the other surface of the polymer substrate.
