<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag mounted at the outside of a passenger cabin of a vehicle for protecting a colliding pedestrian, capable of enduring an extremely high inner pressure and big shock, and being stable and durable over a long period. <P>SOLUTION: This air bag is arranged at the outside position of the passenger cabin of the vehicle, and expands on colliding with the pedestrian for absorbing its shock. The bag main body substrate is constituted by yarns having≥400dtex and has≥1,800 cover factor. Its outside surface is covered by a covering material, and the covered substrate exhibits≥85% substrate strength-maintaining rate of before and after an irradiation in a weather resistance test based on JIS-D 0205 (2.2.1(4)). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
