<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestrian hitting protective device for vehicle which is easily manufactured and capable of rapidly specifying a hitting part of a pedestrian on the right/left side, and a hitting part detector to be favorably employed therein. <P>SOLUTION: A hitting detection sensor provided on a bumper of a vehicle extends in the right and left direction of the bumper, and detects a hitting part. As a result, any operational delay of a pedestrian protective element is prevented by specifying a hitting part of a pedestrian, and a part to be operated of the pedestrian protective element according to the hitting becomes compact and lightweight. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
