<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of a shaft by eliminating stiff movement and buckling of a coil spring. <P>SOLUTION: This memory card connector 1 is mounted on a recording/reproducing device such as a memory card reader. A casing is provided therein with a slide mechanism having a slider member 8 and the coil spring 9 for energizing the slider member. A shaft 11 formed separately from a casing part is inserted in the coil spring 9. The shaft 11 is made of metal, for example.
