PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor for a photoelectric conversion material and a photoelectric conversion element which have excellent photoelectric conversion efficiency and stability, and a solar cell which uses this semiconductor for the photoelectric conversion material and the photoelectric conversion element.

SOLUTION: In this semiconductor for the photoelectric conversion material, a compound expressed by a general formula (1) is adsorbed on the semiconductor surface.
