OPTICAL FIBER CONNECTOR HAVING CABLE FIXING MEANS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to facilitate the insertion of an optical fiber into a body regarding an optical fiber connector which has a plastic core and a jacket surrounding it and ends an optical cable.

SOLUTION: The invention is about a connector to install in an optical fiber cable consisting of at least one plastic optical fiber surrounded by the jacket. The connector includes a tubular housing having a latch means fixing the related adaptor, a passage whose housing stretches lengthwise and an interface edge and an opening edge of the cable. The above passage has a size large enough to receive the optical cable and is characteristic of having a cable fixing structure consisting of internal screws which stretch along at least one part of the length of the passage.
