PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost and low loss flat antenna with a large aperture, for using in such as a point-to-point microwave backhaul, and having front to back ratio characteristics and cross polarization characteristics improved and reduced in reception ratio in relation to other radiating sources. SOLUTION: The antenna array is composed of a plurality of multilayer substrates having one or more upper and lower ground surfaces and inner conductive layers, a plurality of proximity coupled cavity backed patch antenna elements formed by respective multilayer substrates, and an electric power distribution line portion extending along the inner conductive layers of the substrates to be connected to the proximity coupling cavity back patch antenna elements.
