PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image dividing display device which compares an original image with a processed image in one and the same image without needing delay by the unit of line or the unit of field, by switching signal processings by an picture dividing signal generated on the basis of a horizontal synchronizing signal and a vertical synchronizing signal, and by masking a control signal. SOLUTION: An input terminal 1a inputs a composite video signal processed by a three-dimensional color signal splitting circuit 1, a two-dimensional color signal splitting circuit 2, and a delay adjusting circuit 4. An output terminal 1b outputs a color signal selected by a selection circuit 3. An output terminal 1c outputs a luminance signal obtained by a subtraction circuit 5. Terminals 1d, 1e, and 1f are for inputting, and, the terminal 1d inputs the horizontal synchronizing signal (hereafter HS) used by an image display control circuit 6. The terminal 1e inputs the vertical synchronizing signal (hereafter VS). The terminal 1f inputs a mode signal. A circuit (1) is the three-dimensional signal splitting circuit and splits the color signal on the basis of the composite video signal inputted to the terminal 1a and its frame delay signal, and outputs a movement detecting signal for deciding presence or absence of the movement of the image.
