PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-story parking apparatus which minimizes loss generated by the movement of a cord member. SOLUTION: A wire rope 41 has both ends 41a, 41b fixed to a rear beam 14, and is wrap-connected to lifting pallets 22a to 22d. Then some midpoint of the wire rope 41 between the lifting pallets 22b, 22c is engaged with a pulley 49. The pulley 49 is moved in a predetermined direction by a pulley driving section 50 so as to unreel the wire rope 41, and in a direction opposite to the predetermined direction so as to reel the wire rope 41. When the pulley 49 is moved in a manner of unreeling the wire rope 41, the lifting pallet 22a is released from its constraint by a pallet bearing 47, and therefore it is lowered. On the other hand, when the pulley 49 is moved in a manner of reeling the wire rope 41, the lifting pallet 22a is released from its constraint by the pallet bearing 47, and therefore it is raised.
