EARTHQUAKE-RESISTING APPLIANCE FOR BUILDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake-resisting appliance which can be manufactured easily while having a long lifetime and improving the aseismicity of a building. SOLUTION: The earthquake-resisting appliance has a damping mechanism 2 and a restoring mechanism 3. One-side ends are connected in a turnable manner in a perpendicular to a vertical frame M1 and a horizontal frame M2 by brackets 41 and 42 in link arms 21 and 22 for the damping mechanism 2, and both link arms 21 and 22 are combined in a turnable manner. Frictional plates are installed to combining sections of the brackets 41 and 42 and the link arms 21 and 22 and the combining section of the link arms 21 and 22 respectively. The restoring mechanism 3 has a leaf spring 6 composed of plate pieces 61 and 62, in which base ends are connected to the brackets 41 and 42 under a state that plate surfaces are perpendicular, and the whole leaf spring 6 is stretched in a circular arc shape between the vertical frame M1 and the horizontal frame M2.
