METHOD FOR PRODUCING ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE COVERING ON INSULATING SUBSTRATE, AND THE SUCH COVERED SUBSTRATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a metal covering in LTCC (Low Temperature Co-sintered Ceramics) and a ceramic substrate, which is easy, and thus advantageous with respect to cost. SOLUTION: The method comprises a stage (1) where at least one surface in an electrically insulating substrate is provided with a first metal covering having satisfactory electric conductivity in a selected range; a stage (2) where the covered surface is cleaned; a stage (3) where nuclei formation is performed to the covering consisting of the first metal on the substrate using the nuclei of a second metal; a stage (4) where the layer of the second metal is subjected to sedimentation onto the layer in which the nuclei are formed; and a stage (5) where the covered substrate is baked.
