PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive method of treating an inorganic salt such as sodium sulfate (mirabilite), which contains an organic compound having amino group as an impurity and then can not be used for dyeing application, to be used as a dyeing assistant. SOLUTION: The method of treating the inorganic salt is performed by treating an aqueous solution of the inorganic salt (by-produced mirabilite or the like) with an oxidizing agent, particularly suitably sodium hypochlorite.
