<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optically and clearly read out a symbol printed in a color whose color tone is different from that of the surface of a product, and whose tone is close to that of the surface of the product. <P>SOLUTION: A serial number 12 is irradiated with blue lights by an illumination 20 constituted of a ring-shaped blue LED 22 surrounding the serial number 12, and the serial number 12 is photographed by a CCD camera 30 from an opening 23 in the ring of the illumination 20, and the wavelength components of red lights in the photographed image are outputted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
