<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To communicate an external PC or the like with a recording medium by a communication standard different from that in a reproducing time to enhance a recording speed, when they are communicated via a reproducing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This reproducing apparatus has reproducing parts 30, 58 for reproducing acoustic information or the like, and a storage part 48 for storing the detachably attached recording medium, and accesses the recording medium by the first communication standard PCMIA when the reproducing parts access it via the storage part.
