<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a splitting tool of a test piece of a silicone-made planar material, a glass-made planar material or the like used for a semiconductor substrate etc. <P>SOLUTION: The splitting tool 20 has a base 21 provided with a center line 211 and struts 23 are disposed at the base 21. The center line 211 perpendicularly bisects a communication line obtained by connecting disposition positions of both struts 23. In addition, a slide piece 22 is disposed on the base 21 and a slide piece 22 is provided with two finger-like section 222 extended parallel with the center line 211. The center line 211 perpendicularly bisects a communication line obtained by connecting the top of the finger-like section 222.
