SOIL PURIFYING AGENT AND SOIL PURIFYING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil purifying method by which the time necessary for making nonpoisonons or removal after making nonpoisonous can be greatly shortened more than hitherto by directly reducing pollutants in soil polluted with organic halide and further purification effect can be expanded over far broader range than hitherto by the same purification as usual and to provide a soil purifying agent used for the soil purifying method.

SOLUTION: The soil purifying method is characterized in that the soil purifying agent which contain fine iron particle slurry made by dispersing fine iron particles having an average primary particle size of 0.01 to 1μm in water and generates a large amount of hydrogen when the fine iron particle is oxidized, is injected into soil or underground water polluted with organic halide and the organic halide is dechlorinated by the hydrogen.
