PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for connecting a flat cable to a connection terminal allowing easy connection of the connection terminal to an aluminum flat conductor which is difficult to establish connection.

SOLUTION: An aluminum flat conductor 1a made of a flat conductor of aluminum or an alloy thereof is pierced with crimp pieces 6 of a flat cable connection terminal 7, so that a new surface of the aluminum flat conductor 1a generated through shearing is brought into contact with the crimp pieces 6.
