RESIN COMPOSITION FOR MANUFACTURING ARTIFICIAL MARBLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for manufacturing artificial marble which yields an artificial marble molded product having a high impact resistance without blending a large amount of glass fiber or establishing a reinforcing plate or layer. SOLUTION: The resin composition is obtained by compounding additives such as a filler, a patterning material, an internal mold release agent and a hardener with a thermosetting resin. The resin composition is poured into a casting mold and molded and cured to manufacture the artificial marble molded product. Here, dicyclopentenyloxyethyl methacrylate is added and compounded with the thermosetting resin to obtain a composite type. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
