PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detection device for detecting a moving body/static body, having sensor parts for transmitting different frequencies for detecting an object by using a plurality of output signals, and for detecting an object in the distance without being influenced by an external environment and improving detection accuracy in the short distance, especially of a stationary object. SOLUTION: This object detection device has the plurality of sensor parts for transmitting transmission signals having different frequencies, and a signal processing part for performing full-wave rectification or half-wave rectification by using the plurality of the output signals from each sensor part as reference voltages and detecting the object by using a detection signal which is a locus of the maximum value of each rectified output signals. The device also has a selection means for determining the distance between the object detection device and the detection object from one output signal or detection signal from the plurality of the sensor parts, and determining whether detection of the detection object is to be performed by this sensor part or a different sensor part is selected and the detection of the detection object is to be performed thereby.
