PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion valve with a solenoid valve having a simple structure. SOLUTION: A common valve element 24 integrated with a valve element of the expansion valve and a valve element of a stop valve is movably arranged so as to freely advance-retreat in the axial direction by being guided by a shaft 19 for transmitting driving force of a power element 12. A first iron core 25 of a solenoid 13 for holding the common valve element 24 energizes the common use valve element 24 by a spring 28 so as to be seated on a valve seat 18. When supplying electric power to the solenoid 13, the first iron core 25 for holding the common valve element 24 is attracted to a second iron core 26 fixed to the shaft 19 so that the common valve element 24 is interlocked with the shaft 19. Thus, the common valve element functions as the stop valve when supplying no electric power to the solenoid 13, and functions as the expansion valve when supplying the electric power.
