摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incinerator and an incineration method for effectively restraining generation of dixoin and the like, and reducing cost required for incineration. SOLUTION: This incinerator A has a primary combustion chamber 1 for burning an incineration object, a secondary combustion chamber 3 arranged for communicating with the primary combustion chamber 1, an auxiliary combustion burner 31 for assisting combustion in the secondary combustion chamber 3, a primary temperature sensor S1 for detecting a temperature of the primary combustion chamber 1, a secondary temperature sensor S2 for detecting a temperature of the secondary combustion chamber 3 and a control device C for controlling operation of the auxiliary combustion burner 31. The control device C raises the temperature of the secondary combustion chamber 3 by operating the auxiliary combustion burner 31 when both the primary combustion chamber 1 and the secondary combustion chamber 3 are lower than a preset temperature range, and stops operation of auxiliary combustion equipment 31 when at least either of the primary combustion chamber 1 or the secondary combustion chamber 3 is higher than the preset temperature range.
