PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scum discharge mechanism which can easily discharge scum in a feed well from the inside of the feed well. SOLUTION: The scum discharge mechanism discharging the scum from the feed well 13 installed in a sedimentation tank 2 is so constituted that an opening 21 is formed at a scum floating height L in the sidewall of the feed well 13 and that a rotating vane 22 whose rotating shaft is the center of the feed well 13 is installed in the feed well 13.
