The root canal drill bit, comprising a tapering rod (1) with at least one helical working edge, has its active anterior portion (2) in the shape of two or more successive cones with angles of taper decreasing away from the tip (3) of the bit, giving its surface a general ogival shape. The active portion of the bit is more than 14 mm long.
