The puzzle comprises twelve bars (1-12) and a cube, each made from plastic. Each side of the cube contains four passages arranged in a square for the bars to be slid into. All of the bars have a length of 95 mm, a height of 10 mm and a depth of 10 mm. At least one bar contains two spaced apart recesses on one side, at least one bar contains two recesses offset on opposite sides, at least one bar contains a single recess on one side and at least one bar contains no recesses. The bars can only be inserted into the cube or pulled out from it in a specific order.
