The metal lid (1) is fitted with a longitudinal handle (2) made of a rigid plastic and joined to the lid (1) with two bolts (3). Each of the bolts (3) is provided with a collar (8) adjacent to its head and is inserted into a dead end bore provided at the lower side of the handle. One of the bores is slightly wider facilitating a motion of the bolt compensating the material-related different levels of expansion of the handle and the lid. Both bolts are additionally secured with spring nuts inserted into horizontal slots located at the front of the handle.
