<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition of recombinant cytopathic viruses reproduced in a neoplastic mammal cell and/or manifesting late domain gene and essentially unreproducible in non-neoplastic cells, to provide a method for constructing and propagating the recombinant viruses, to provide a method for treating neoplastic diseases with those recombinant viruses, and to obtain a composition for treatment comprising the recombinant viruses. <P>SOLUTION: The method for excluding neoplastic cells in cell population comprises a step for contacting, under an infecting condition, (1) a recombinant duplicate defective adenovirus with (2) a neoplasia cell population comprising neoplastic cells so as to form an infected group, and thereby producing an infected cell population, wherein the recombinant duplicate defective adenovirus lacks in expression virus carcinoma protein combinable with operative tumor suppressor gene product, and the neoplastic cells include the above operative tumor suppressor gene product and lack in non-neoplastic cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
