<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative ion generator capable of generating negative ions having greater availability in one's daily life environment. <P>SOLUTION: This negative ion generator 1 is formed in such a manner that its housing is formed with an outer shell member 2, and negative-ion generating materials 4 are contained in a space 3 formed in the outer shell member 2, wherein a main part of the outer shell member 2 is made of titanium, and also the space 3 for containing the materials in the outer shell member 2 is sealed tightly so as not to communicate with the outside of the outer shell member 2, and negative ions are emitted from the negative ion generating materials 4. Thus, as the negative ion generator with which one can frequently contact in one's daily life is made to have a negative ion generating function, the one can maintain one's health in good condition by the negative ions emitted to one's body.
