MASTER UNIT, SLAVE UNIT AND SYSTEM FOR HALF DUPLEX OPTICAL WIRELESS COMMUNICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform transmission that does not need trunk transmission such as inter-slave unit communication even while a master unit performs transmission to a trunk in a half duplex optical wireless communication system which requires transmission permission procedures.

SOLUTION: A control means 13 of the master unit 1 releases an optical line in response to a transmission request from a slave unit 3 that uses only the optical line, notifies the slave unit 3 of the release information by a line free signal based on a burst signal having an identification command, and performs controls so as to relay inter-slave unit communication and to relay an optical line link test signal of the slave unit 3 while the master unit 1 transmits a transmission frame from the slave unit 3 to the trunk 2.
