<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that once it fails in start-up, a start-up trigger is never impressed, accordingly, it is impossible to light a lamp. <P>SOLUTION: The inverter device is provided with a rectification power supply 10 to full-wave-rectify an AC power supply 11 voltage, a smoothing capacitor 20 to be charged by receiving a rectification power supply 10 voltage, an inverter 40 to convert a smoothing capacitor 20 voltage to a high frequency voltage, a control circuit 50 to execute self-excited control to a switching element 41 attached to the inverter 40, and a trigger resistor 31 for feeding a start-up trigger current to one of the switching elements 41.
